The biggest light-up event in Kyoto can be the famous "ROHM Illumination" annually held by the leading electronic parts manufacturer ROHM. This year, the event is having the 20th anniversary under the theme of "The delighted moments with glittering sparkles", presenting the wonderful world of fantastic bright illuminations.
The "Promenade of lights" area, the avenue on which rows of Metasequoia trees are lit-up, was filled with echoing joyful cheers by many visitors. Surprisingly, the number of electric bulbs used for the area is eight hundred sixty thousands.
