Sewaritei at Yawata - Noted site of Cherry Blossom Viewing

Have you enjoyed Hanami (花見, cherry blossom viewing) this year? Tomorrow, it's going to rain, but falling cherry blossoms in a blink of an eye is also a part of its beauty.

Sewaritei (背割堤) in Yawata (八幡) city is one of the very famous site in Kyoto for cherry blossom viewing. The view alongside the Yodogawa (淀川) river bank is just magnificent and marks high ranks in many lists of recommended sites. Despite the damges due to the vicious typhoon last summer, the two hundred and twenty cherry trees are vividly blooming. The tree-lined path between Kizu river (木津川) and Uji river (宇治川) was filled with a cheerful atomosphere of the spring. The flowers were blooming with full of pride and dignity after the trying time of harsh difficulty.
